Windows Group Policy Redirection
Hi All,
I have about 300 users in my domain using terminal services through HP Thin Clients on DL580G2 Servers. The profiles of these users are stored on a shared storage, the problem is that when the users log on their profile is copied to the local hard disk of the respective DL580 server. To avoid this problem I configured Windows Redirection on 3 folders(Application Data, My Documents and Desktop) through Group Policy. This policy was applied on a new OU. If a new user is created in this OU the policy works fine and user contents are redirected to the new location but when an existing user from the existing OU is moved into the new OU then its contents are not copied although in the redirected location a folder with the user name contaning the 3 folders(Application Data, My Documents and Desktop) is created but these folders are empty hence not moving the contents from the previous location. Kindly help in this regard, Thankyou.

Re: Windows Group Policy Redirection
Try configuring a HOME folder in TS. You can also redirect my documents to the HOME folder.

In the worst case, you will need to create a logon script for copying the files :(

Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?
