Disk related errors on XP 24K

Server team faced the following errors recently

server is assigned 10*100GB XP24K disks and 8*12GB IBM ESS2105 Disks. its the XP disks which are having issue. SOmetimes the disks go invisible as well. the above issue was resolved once OS team rebooted the server. but the issue arose again next day.

We checked the XP side and there are no errors, the last error reported was a disk failure on 20 Apr 2011.

OS Version – Solaris 9 (122300-40)
Veritas Volume Manager – 4.1
Multipathing – VxDMP 4.1
Server model -- Sun-Fire-280R

Any suggestion what could be the reason.
