multiple Volume per Volume Group or single Volume per Volume Group !
Which is better to use. Is there any guidelines for this.

Hi Manish,

From the array perspective - it doesn't matter when you are using ThP. However (I'll assume you a UNIX based OS since you said volume group), having additional LUNs in a VG can get better performance due to queue depths. One HP-UX, there is a default value of 8 per LUN. If you have 4 LUNs in the VG, now you have 32 I/O's possible for queueing. This value can be changed on a per LUN value, or globally for all LUNs in the kernel.
