XP external storage trial to permanent

Hello experts, I hope you can help me with this issue. I have a trial-temporal license of external storage. I have bought 4 TB of external storage, will I have to reformat my luns in order to apply those 4 TB of storage to my array? I expect that this kind of array can handle the transition from temporal to permanent without having to lose everything I have done, just as the BC for the EVA, but I need to be sure.
