Importing vg in AIX from xp12k

hi all,

We have configured CA in xp 12k storage in that PVOLs are presented to primery datacenter servers and SVOLs are presented to Disaster recovery data center server in both location we have created vg and mouted it. For the first time we have unmounted and exported vg from DR data center servers and resynced PVOLs and SVOLs once it's come to PAIR state we splited that pairs then we tried to mount the SVOLs in DR servers, we found that both PR and DR servers PV id become same. so when i try to varyon the vg, its data not properly copied on discribter area. is there any possiblity to import the SVOLs.

Sounds like you need to use the recreatevg command in AIX. It was designed for presenting a hardware copy of an hdisk or volume group. The recreatevg allows you to give unique prefixes to the volume group, logical volumes and filesystems. You didn't mention the AIX version. If 5.2 I'm not positive the man pages have an entry for recreatevg but 5.3 certainly does.
