Re: LDEV BOX Capacity Analysis
When you login to the CV for XP, you should be able to see a summary.
I have worked on HDS products and HSSM was close to providing this report. HSSM is infact HP's APPIQ.
HP also has some other reporting tools that can provide this info.

Biju Krishnan

Re: LDEV BOX Capacity Analysis
Apologies for not providing the exact reply since I have worked on the HDS variants and hence a bit doubtful about how the HP solution would look.

Re: LDEV BOX Capacity Analysis
u should see a summary. Unallocated space, number of unallocated LDEV's etc.
But you would for sure need more information, this should be possible via the HSSM equivalent in HP.
Also try asking your HP rep, in my prev job, HP has provided us detailed reports of XP in XL with foll information.
RAID Group Sort RAID Group RAID Level DKA RAID Group Members Drive Type Disk Size LDEVs Space MB Unassigned LDEVs Unassigned Space MB

Re: LDEV BOX Capacity Analysis
Did you already got what you wanted?
There several ways to get a summary of used and unused space off an XP. The easiest way is to look at the entry page of RWC (XP1024 and above), as already mentioned above.
There is IMHO no automated way to get detailed usage information for each of the B4's, even not with our internal tools. If one of my customers does need it, I would also do a manual calculation. But this happens rarely, I hardly remember 2-3 times last 10 years.
Regards
Frank
PS.: Btw. the correct name of the array is XP12000 ;)
