SAN FC-AL
I have to connect a k570 to a XP512.
I have to use AL topology.
Do I need the AL license in the brocade fabric switch?

Re: SAN FC-AL
I thought the A6685A HSC card for K series systems supported fabric logon?

Re: SAN FC-AL
if you want switch to emulate fc-al then you can use quickloop (whole switch or per ports). HP sells brocades with all possible licenses already installed.
You can use translative mode (public loop) but need to set XP port to work in loop. The best choice is to use XP array in fabric.
Manuals/config guides can be found here http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?contentType=SupportManual&docIndexId=3124&locale=en_US&prodSeriesId=33732&prodTypeId=12169
