SAN Migration
I need to migrate data from an XP-512 to USP1100. I have a 2 node cluster attached to this sevrer and this is running Oracle Paralle Server.
The VG's are shared VGs and currentlyu I have around 1.5 Terabytes of data that needs to be migrated. The current servers are directly connected to the XP-512 with out a fiber switch. There are 2 HBA's per server.
My idea was to use one of the HBA to connect to the USP1100 and mirror the LV's, but these VGs are in shared mode and I think I need to bring down the cluster and activate the VGs in exclusive mode and then do the LVM stuff...
I can get a minimal downtime :(
Any help would be appreciated...Many thanks in advance.

Re: SAN Migration
We had a 2.1 TB database that we moved from our XP512 to our EVA5K. I don't know why, but when we initially purchased our XP512, we had 4 HBAs in each server. The storage move went real well.
I assume that the HBAs connecting to your XP512 are 1GB connections. Does this USP1100 support 2GB HBAs? If so, maybe you can market purchasing more HBAs (if nothing else, possibly 1 additional 1GB HBA).
