XP Information
Hi all,
I have several questions regarding HP's storage -
1.)what are the increments of XP SW licenses? (1TB,5TB,etc)
2.) In Auto Path XP, what tool/app is used to determine if another type of load balancing should be used?
3.) When the CHIP port is configured in High Performance mode, is the port bypass circuit enabled and two of the four external Fibre Channel host connect ports are disabled?
4.) Where can I get additional practise tests for HP's storage solutions?
thanks!
/Mic

Re: XP Information
1. It depends upon model. The XP512 has 1,5,10,and 25TB licenses. The XP128 and XP1024 now use only 1TB licenses, but the price of the TB goes down when the quantity increases.
2. There is no tool to tell you outright that you should change your load balancing policy; but you can use your systems' performance monitoring software to determine if the paths are well balanced.
3. Yes. This behavior also varies slightly by model.
4. Practice tests? For what? Last I saw, there is no certification for Storage - just a SAN certification via SNIA.
Good luck!

No matter where you go, there you are.
