Firmware download page

If there was 1 thing nice about HP, that would be the hidden HPE network firmware download page where someone would have to enter the product id and find all related software regarding his product. It seems that someone smarter than anyone else decided to end it.

Mentioned in the post in this post, you can (after some lengths registration procedure) got to https://h10145.www1.hpe.com/support/SupportLookUp.aspx

Then I had to click around like there's no tomorrow until I finally found https://networkingsupport.hpe.com/downloads where I could enter J9980A into the search box to get (actually meaningful and helpful!) results for 1820-24G firmware downloads. I'm pretty sure it works for other network components as well.

It had always been a headache to get to the secret firmware download page, but by now it has been cranked up to 11. I regret buying and recommending HPE equipment by now.
