Resources from HPE and others to learn about HPE Cloud Volumes
We announced HPE Cloud Volumes Backup a few weeks ago at Discover. There have been a few blog posts and videos, some from independent bloggers. I thought I'd share some of those especially since my colleague Jenna yesterday told you about a Cloud Volumes promotion that we have extended until the end of October.
A few HPE resources
Let me start by pointing you to a few HPE videos and articles.
- I have a Chalk Talk and a podcast that you can find here on ATSB. Here's also a Cloud Volumes Backup demo that I helped get on YouTube that Dianne Gonazalez from our Tech Marketing Engineering (TME) team did showing it in action. There's another demo from Stephen Galla also from TME, HPE Cloud Volumes Backup: Quick guide to Veeam integration demo.
- We now have two solutions with Cloud Volumes: Cloud Volumes Backup and Cloud Volumes Block. Nick Dyer, a long time Nimble Storage expert has a really good video giving an overview of Cloud Volumes Block (note we just called it Cloud Volumes before we had the Backup solution) that I thought would be useful to include so you know the difference.
- Ashish Prakash is the VP and GM of HPE Cloud Data Services; he has an article that is in CIO Magazine, Is Your Approach to Data Protection More Expensive than Useful?
What others are saying
I've seen a few things from independent bloggers and thought I would share what I've seen.
- Here's a video that CTO Advisor Keith Tonwsend did for HPE.
- Max Mortillaro from TechUnplugged.IO was the first to post a blog, Live from Virtual HPE Discover: Cloud Volumes Backup.
- Richard Arnold has a post on D8taDude.com simply titled Cloud Volumes Backup.
- Justin Paul just posted a blog showing the integration between Zerto and Cloud Volumes Backup titled How to Enable Zerto LTR with no hardware using HPE Cloud Volumes Backup.
- My long time friend Bart Heungens has a post on bitcon.be, HPE Puts your backup data in the cloud with Cloud Volumes Backup.
If I see more, I'll add it here!
On a personal note, I was looking at my bio and it had said "blogged for over 11 years". I remember when I started blogging and while those blog articles are long gone, I know that I had gone to a 4th of July stadium event with my kids with Miley Cirus back when she was still Hannah Montana. I just realized that was in 2007 so I've been blogging for a lucky 13 years!
