Does anyone know if we can boot from a SB40 storage blade connected to a BL460, if yes are there any disadvantages booting from a SB40. Also are there any documentaions showing how this can be configured.
Thanks

Solution
Yes, you can. Make sure the SB40c in the blade bay next to the BL460c server. Go into RBSU (press F9 during boot), and change the Boot Controller Order field to make the Smart Array P400 controller inside the SB40c higher in boot priority than the embedded controller on the server blade.
The embedded 6Gb/s-capable P410i controller inside a BL460c G6 might perform a little faster than the older P400 controller, but I can't think of any real disadvantages.
