question about the 1/10G Virtual Connect Ethernet Module

some background:
I'm setting up a new blade setup that's being used for bandwidth intensive applications and I am trying to take full advantage of the bandwidth the LOMs provide. I have a c7000 enclosure with 16 460c's. From my understanding, on each blade LOM1 goes to interconnect slot 1 and LOM2 to interconnect slot 2. If this is the case I should be able to get a total of 32Gbps of throughput on the first two interconnect slots, but I haven't found any 16 external port interconnects and none are listed athttp://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/blades/components/c-class-interconnects.html so I'm assuming there aren't any.

the question:
Do the virtual connects act like switches? so say if I got the 1/10G module with 2x 10GBase-CX4 ports, could I use vlans to put 8 LOMs through one cx4 port to get a bidirectional throughput of 16Gbps through that, and the other 8 LOMs through the second cx4 port to take full advantage of all built-in LOMs? or if I try to use it with the built-in LOMs will the port be limited to 1GbE total being shared amongst all 8 LOMs since the LOMs are only 1GbE?

VC is kind of like a switch so yes you could create two virtual connect networks - each with 8x 1Gb downlinks and one 10Gb uplink.

You could also use the 8x1Gb links and port trunk them together for an 8Gb trunk.
