EVA P6000 first time setup password?

I have here a brandnew EVA P6000 and before the HP technician comes to set it up, I wanted to play a bit with that machine. Problem is that I don't know the login name and password.

According to the manual, the standard IP is 192.168.0.1, user: admin, password:password.... but this doesnt work here.

Funny is also that the manual says to connect to "https://192.168.0.1:2372"  ...but that doesn't work either. I only get a login screen at "http://192.168.0.1"

Is there something to do before one can login? The manual says that Command View is pre-installed in that controller... I hope that's true.

Any ideas???

Re: EVA P6000 first time setup password?

Hi,

you may want to check out the WOCP user guide if you haven't already. I suppose you may have to do something in there too before you can access CV. Initialize? WWN/checksum maybe?

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02493406.pdf

WOCP is on http://IP:2373

Command View is installed in the 'management module' or the ABM (array based management) - which is on the back of the controller shelf.

Re: EVA P6000 first time setup password?

The URL is correct, the default login is "admin" with an empty password.

Hope this helps!

Simulator?

You need to add your user account to the group "HP Storage Admins".

Hope this helps!

Please open your own thread.

Consider to tell more about your environment, attach a screenshot (using the Simulator???).

Hope this helps!

Hi, sorry, I have the same problem, install hp p6000 eva simulator, but can not log in with the admin user, I saw the answer to add that user to the group hp storage.

I'm new at this, could you please guide me, that part is where this group is located, to add the user?.

Thanks :)
