CABSAT 2022: Check out the major highlights.

CABSAT 2022, the Middle East and Africaโ€™s leading event for the satellite, digital media and filmed entertainment industries, held between May 17-19 last week, was an immersive, unique, and engaging experience, in its bid to provide an unrivalled opportunity for experts to learn from their international peers and to maximize opportunities around the latest industry trends and innovative concepts.

With more than 120 international thought-leaders and speakers delivering 110 hours of conference content as well as over 300 companies exhibiting, the event attracted 13,000 attendees from across the Middle East and North Africa.

In terms of its core topics, the eventโ€™s Content Congress managed to engage a unique cross-section of global industry stakeholders with up-and-coming influencers to share insights on how to adapt traditional broadcast models, the benefits of disruptive thinking and the future of worldwide broadcasting. Check out the major highlights:

  • This year, HPE OEM spent time with many of the global leaders in the industry exploring their latest developments and cutting-edge video management and delivery solutions. Great to see these industry pioneers working Hewlett Packard Enterprise OEM technologies to propel their innovations forward.

  • At CABSAT 2022, Broadpeak highlighted how content providers, OTT service providers, and pay-TV operators can offer a superior video streaming experience to their subscribers. "Broadpeakโ€™s CDN and video streaming solutions enable operators to deliver an outstanding quality of experience (QoE) and future-proof their video delivery operations while reducing their power consumption to enable more energy-efficient streaming services".

  • The event witnessed Rohde & Schwarz and Pixel Power deliver โ€œintegrated workflows from ingest to playout along with live over-the-air 5G Broadcast to smartphones. They demonstrated multiple end-to-end workflows for broadcasters, highlighting clear migration paths from SDI to IP to the cloud at CABSAT 2022โ€.
