HPE OEM joins Rainforest Connection & Evertreen to leverage Social Responsibility Program

HPE’s sustainability capabilities are a strategic differentiator, and at HPE OEM Solutions, we want to do our bit for our people, planet, and business. That’s why we’ve set up the HPE OEM Solutions Social Responsibility Program- a year-long social responsibility initiative where we aim to raise awareness and engage our internal community to deliver on various social topics. We kicked off our program this quarter to combat deforestation. We are focusing our efforts on Deforestation and Habitat protection, and in this process, we have had the opportunity to partner with organizations to come forward and support this initiative.

We have partnered with Rainforest Connection which will help us make a difference in this quarter's agenda over Deforestation and Habitat protection and leverage our efforts to make a greater impact. Rainforest Connection is a non-profit technology start-up that generates real-time data on deforestation activity in tropical rainforests. It uses upcycled mobile technology to monitor and protect remote forests, enabling real-time interventions. Founded in 2013, the organization also aims to combat illegal tree poaching by leveraging technological and social models to reduce reliance on human resources. Our collaboration with Rainforest Connection will help us aid in our Social Responsibility initiative to protect and preserve our planet's natural resources and biodiversity for generations to come.

To scale up our social responsibility program, we are further collaborating with Evertreen- an organization that offers a global platform enabling users to plant real trees online and track them via satellite. As a part of our Social Responsibility Initiative, this partnership with Evertreen will help us to make a positive impact on the environment.
