Meet Your HPE OEM Solutions Team: Holly Sell
Next up in the Meet the Team series is Holly Sell, Global HPE Pointnext Services Portfolio Manager.
Thanks for sitting down with us, Holly. Tell us, what exactly does your role at HPE OEM involve?
As a Global HPE Pointnext Services portfolio manager, I support the HPE OEM program and sales teams in meeting our current and prospective OEM partnersโ service needs. Collaborating with different HPE teams, OEM partners, and OEM integrators keeps my job exciting, as we collaborate to enhance the OEM experience and delight our mutual customers.
What successes have you achieved in your current role? Is there anything you are particularly proud of?
Success comes in many forms. Iโve supported the HPE OEM business from an HPE Pointnext Services perspective for ten yearsโsince the teamโs inceptionโand have seen many positive changes. Over the years, I have worked across various teams to create new programs and initiatives that support our OEM partners, which has been very rewarding. A main function of my role is to drive awareness of the OEM business segment to the different HPE Pointnext Services teams in each geography. This provides the opportunity to work with people from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise, helping me to grow personally and professionally.
I am most proud of delivering new services that meet the specific needs of our OEM partners who require a different experience to HPEโs commercial accounts. Creating something new is difficult, however itโs exciting to bring something new to the portfolio.
That sounds really satisfying! What role does support services play in helping OEMs to scale their innovation?
Building a brand with HPE allows OEMs to extend their global reach. By leveraging HPE Pointnext Services, OEMs can effectively scale to deliver their solutions in countries where HPE provides support directly, or through HPE Authorized Delivery Partners. This allows OEMs to maximize time spent designing and selling solutions, and minimize time spent supporting their end customers.
Whatโs next for HPE Pointnext Services?
The biggest changes you will see coming out of HPE Pointnext Services will be customer experience improvements. We are enhancing our digital capabilities and leveraging data and machine learning to improve performance and efficiency. We are also expanding access to product and technology specific specialists, so that customers can receive the right expertise whenever they need it.
Tell us about some exciting trends that we should keep an eye out for?
HPE is embracing the new ways our customers want to live and work by offering options for all technology professionals to feel heard. We are offering more and more self-service tools, on-demand resources, and actionable data for those who prefer a hands-on approach. And fully managed environments for those who want to free up their own resources for other goals. We are offering everything as a service, so that our customers only pay for what they need and introduce new workloads and solutions all the time via HPE GreenLake.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work I enjoy RV camping and spending time on our farm, taking care of our growing pet population and garden. I also like to volunteer my time by making meals for those in need, as well as sit on a Board of Directors of a not-for-profit organization.
