DL360 G4 Server Fans
I have 2 new DL360 G4 servers. When originally starting up, one servers fans run extremely fast and then slow right down after a few seconds(i would expect this) - the other servers fans run at top speed all the time. Installing Smartstart, Windows 2003 Server operating system and all the HP Insight agents etc makes no difference.
Has anyone else had this problem or any suggestions as to what may be causing this?

Re: DL360 G4 Server Fans
Hi,
Check with the agents or a insight manager whats the temperature.
Normaly these values for both servers should be closely the same.
Probably there is an emminent overheating problem in the server running at full speed.
Are you sure sure there is a propper air flow through the server?
Greetzzz

Re: DL360 G4 Server Fans
Hi
The basic reasons maybe because of over heating hope you have a good ventilation and proper air flow. This might not be becuase of any fan problem, it tends to run fast when it is heating up.You can check on the insight manager agent on the server reagrding the temperature of the server.
