FCA2214 Win2k3 Driver Event ID 11

Hi,

What is the correct driver for Win2k3 Server using this Fibre Card. PSP 7.6 is installed on DL380G4 HP StorageWorks Fibre Channel Array Notification Driver for Windows 2000/Server 2003 is wrong version although I force an install the log says not required.
HP StorageWorks Fibre Channel Adapter Kit for QLAxxxx SCSIPORT Driver for Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003 1.5.0.2 but I get event id 11 when the server boots.

Thanks for responding I has already downloaded and installed the top patch which I have repeately installed and the log shows this

Name: HP StorageWorks Fibre Channel Array Notification Driver

New Version: 5.32.0.32

Beginning Silent Session...

The software is currently installed, but does not need to be installed on
this system.

Current Version: 5.30.0.32

Looking in VCA is shows as HP StorageWorks Fibre Channel Array Notification Driver for Windows 2000/Server 2003 5.30.0.32

One the other Link there are a number of files available to download VCA reports HP StorageWorks Fibre Channel Adapter Kit for QLAxxxx SCSIPORT Driver for Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003 1.5.0.2 so which of the driver links should we be using?

Hi Mikecl,

The Filename for HP StorageWorks Fibre Channel Adapter Kit for QLAxxxx SCSIPORT Driver for Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003 is: cp006503.exe. This is not available as a independent download. You could search for this file in the PSP 7.60.

Apart from that try the following drivers and check if it helps:

SCSIport Driver Component for Qlogic-based HBAs and Mezzanine HBAs 9.1.3.11

Storport Driver Component for Qlogic-based FC HBAs and FC Mezzanine HBAs 9.1.3.16

Also check in the Device Manager if there is any error for FC HBA.

Hi Raj,

I have reinstallaed and forced the driver from 7.60 PSP and the VCA reports is as the correct driver. There are no erros in device namager it says it is loaded and running ok, One bootup I get the event id 11.

What is the error message you get with eventId 11.

Check www.eventid.net if it helps.

The error message which appears 3 time on boot up is

Hi Mikecl,

I would recommend you to call HP Support and call a log a case.

We know it is a issue with Qlogic card, but not sure why this error is comming up. Controller by itself is fine, if the driver is getting installed fine.
