ML110 G3 and Hard drives compatibility question

Hi, we've just bought 5 Proliant ML110 G3 : 4 as test servers with the original hardware, and 1 as file server with 2 200Gb serial ATA disks (maxtor Diamondmax plus).

The 4 test servers work fine but the file server as already encountered shutdown and blue screens and lost of the 2nd disk...is the any incompatibility between ML110 G3 and some serial ata disk drives?

Thanks in advance

Re: ML110 G3 and Hard drives compatibility question

You could name it incompatibility.

The issue is probably due to the fact that you have non-HP hard drives in this server (there is no HP-branded 200GB SATA HDD according to the option list)

HP hard drives might look like any other non-HP disk, but in fact they have specific HP firmware on them.
