MSL5026 and SAN
We have sell a MSL5026 but we are not going to implement the solution. We only are going to install the MSL5026 to a SAN,
The company that is going to install the backup software want that we make a test that certified that the MSL5026 is working.
How I do that if our data protector is not going to be the implemented backup software?
The software that is going to be used is Veritas.
Thank you.
Ralph

Re: MSL5026 and SAN
I would try Library and Tape Tools
http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/storageworks/ltt/index.html
It should diagnose the library, and give you the opportunity to upgrade the firmware on the library controller and drives.

Re: MSL5026 and SAN
Sounds like something the software integrator should be answering. If they are implementing the backup software, and they demand the hardware and operating system infrastucture is at a minimal operating level, then they should be making the statement of what defines that minimal operating level, and how to verify it.
Thanks,
Scott
