1. Explore: This phase is for organizations just starting to consider and understand the kind of value that data and AI can bring to their business. It explores questions like: Where do we start? What are some quick-win projects? How do we build internal consensus and awareness for data and AI? How can we gain buy-in from decision-makers and build a business case?

2. Experiment: Once an organization knows where they want to go, the experiment phase is the natural next step to test and pilot it. You can translate your plans into executable solutions/applications, experiment with these solutions, and experience the real value that data and AI can generate for your business.

 3. Evolve: Becoming a true data-driven organization means extensively adopting the use of data and AI strategically throughout your organization. Our services can help you develop additional use cases, deploy into production, and integrate them into the entire IT environment. We help you operationalize data and AI solutions and systems and support continuous evolution in line with your cloud delivery options, technology transformation, changing demands, and development of new business models.

3 ways to make a great start

Here are some of the key services to help you get started in the Explore phase (see the image below):

• Data strategy workshop. This is a one-day workshop designed to help you discover AI and data analytics needs and opportunities, select priority use cases, and create a high-level plan.

• Data transformation capability assessment. This evaluates the attributes of your data platform to determine the readiness of data and analytics services and technologies to satisfy your organization’s needs and help you achieve your business objectives.

• Data platform design and planning. This is based on agile and enterprise architecture methods in design and planning. We combine innovation with a structured approach to technical and economic evaluation. We focus on continuous improvement through incremental planning and development and help reduce risk through complexity management.

Your data landscape is complex. But don’t let that get in the way of taking full advantage of your information assets. Integrate data into your larger transformation strategy and begin to take control of the insight and value that exists within. Build out a modern data platform at your pace and on your terms by targeting one use case or a series of use cases that can deliver a fast and solid return on your investment. Easing the implementation journey

While advisory services help to map out a journey from the as-is state toward the desired state, advisory alone does not get the job done. Due to the complexity of the data landscape, HPE has developed a suite of technical implementation services, from simple start-up through to fully customizable agile implementation (see the image below).

 There are different implementation options. One example may be through adoption and consumption of HPE GreenLake for data fabric.

Another example implementation path is the design and implementation of the HPE Intelligent Data Pipeline framework. On its own, the Intelligent Data Pipeline comprises a stack of pre-defined hardware and software designed to allow the ingest, transformation, analysis and visualization of diverse data sources. In short, it’s a platform on which to build your use cases.

What happens in cases where the framework is a good fit, but maybe the scale or components in the pre-curated stack don’t quite fit? Here we can take the software stack and our automation and translate that to different hardware or software components. The end result is that we can deliver an integrated platform regardless of the desired end state.

And then, once the platforms are delivered and integrated, what of the all-important use cases that deliver the business value? At that point you can decide if you want to develop those yourself, or work with the experts from HPE to have the use case built for you.
