HPE Accelerating Impact 2022
At HPE, we believe in being a force for good by solving for humanity with humanity and using technology to make the world a better place. Our annual HPE Accelerating Impact campaign turns this belief into action by supporting technology non-profits that are driving social impact in the digital age.
Made possible by the HPE Foundation in partnership with Fast Forward—a technology non-profit accelerator, here’s what Fast Forward said about our 2021 campaign. By continuing this initiative all team members at HPE have an opportunity to easily give back and help unlock the power of tech non-profits that tackle major social and environmental challenges.
During this year’s campaign from September 6 through 21, 2022, each team member will receive a $25 credit from the HPE Foundation to give to one of 30 select tech non-profits. There are also opportunities to earn additional credits throughout the campaign with various incentives that will increase some team members’ donations up to $1000.
The initiative partners with tech non-profits working on a range of issues around the world— from building AI technology to combat online child abuse, detecting illegal deforestation in rainforests, and a virtual therapy platform for low-income youths at higher risk of teen suicide and mental illness to using augmented reality to highlight underrepresented narratives.
In 2021, more than 50% of the organizations supported were led by a woman or gender nonbinary person, more than 50% were led by a person of color, and more than 50% were founded by a person who experienced the very same issue they were solving for others.
HPE delivered $1.3 million in funding to these organizations in 2021 by inviting team members to direct $25 credits provided by the HPE Foundation. Over 28,000 team members from around the world participated in the campaign, and many continue to engage with these non-profits throughout the year by participating in skills-based volunteering opportunities.
Our mission is to advance the way people live and work. Since HPE Accelerating Impact launched in 2019, team members have directed more than $4M to 47 tech non-profits, positively supporting our mission and benefiting the lives of more than 360 million people worldwide.
