Our technology partners are another key component of this strategy. HPE is committed to working with both technology partners and the open-source community to complement our own software innovation. In particular, HPE is building and extending our technology partner ecosystem for the HPE Ezmeral software portfolio – including ISV (independent software vendor) partners for our HPE Ezmeral Container Platform.
One of the key value propositions for our container platform is the ability to run a wide range of different use cases and applications, as illustrated below:
We’re working with a broad ecosystem of technology partners to extend the HPE Ezmeral Container Platform in each of these areas. In some cases, our ISV partners complement our container platform with unique functionality in key areas such as monitoring or security. With other ISVs, we’re working together to containerize their applications for various use cases – ranging from AI/ML and data analytics to DevOps and application modernization. We’re also working with infrastructure technology partners such as Intel and NVIDIA, leveraging their software and hardware innovations to complement our container platform.
With Kubernetes and containerization, we can help bring speed and agility to the application development lifecycle – by simplifying the management and provisioning of infrastructure to build, test, and deploy these apps. For example, it can be a significant challenge to deploy and manage multiple versions of these applications and ensure compatibility with different open source versions of Kubernetes. Our ISV ecosystem program is designed to simplify and accelerate this process by performing validation for these apps and offering pre-built container images in the App Store for the HPE Ezmeral Container Platform.
We’re working closely with our customers to identify and onboard the right ISV partners. In many cases, we’ve already deployed these ISV apps in production running on our container platform and/or provided integration with their software tools to meet customer needs. These complementary software partners fall into two primary categories:
- Platform partners: These are ISVs that extend the core capabilities of the HPE Ezmeral Container Platform, with their commercial and/or open-source software tools. We’re working with these partners to integrate their software functionality with our container platform. Examples include Sysdig (e.g. for monitoring) and Atlassian (e.g. for Bitbucket).
- Application Partners: These are ISVs with applications – either commercial and/or open-source apps – that can be containerized and deployed on the HPE Ezmeral Container Platform. By working closely with these ISV partners, we can provide our customers with the flexibility to choose the right tools for each of their use cases. Examples include AI / ML (e.g. Dataiku and H2O.ai) and data analytics (e.g. StreamSets and Unravel).
Our vision is to provide our customers with their choice of a wide range of software applications for different use cases, validated and delivered through the App Store in the HPE Ezmeral Container Platform. By building a best-in-class ISV partner program, we can help accelerate business outcomes for our customers, enhance the value proposition for the HPE Ezmeral software portfolio, and provide joint go-to-market opportunities for our partners.
Ultimately, our goal is to deliver faster time-to-value for our customers’ data-driven digital transformation and app modernization initiatives – leveraging the open-source Kubernetes ecosystem and our ISV partnerships. Together with our partners, we’ll provide a streamlined approach that makes it easier for our customers to adopt integrated solutions that combine software from HPE, the open-source ecosystem, and third-party commercial applications.
