HPE and Google Cloud announce joint hybrid cloud solutions optimized for containerized applications
This week at the Google Cloud Next 2019 event, HPE and Google Cloud announced they are joining forces to accelerate innovation with hybrid cloud solutions optimized for containerized applications. The new HPE Validated Designs for Google Cloud’s Anthos will simplify how customers build, run, and manage services across on-premises and cloud environments.
HPE Validated Designs for Google Cloud’s Anthos
The new joint hybrid cloud solutions, HPE Validated Designs for Google Cloud’s Anthos, are extensively-tested blueprints customers can use to build and manage modern containerized workloads using Anthos on HPE solutions. HPE Validated Designs for Google Cloud’s Anthos offer customers a choice of solutions for HPE SimpliVity hyperconverged, or HPE Nimble Storage and HPE ProLiant. HPE will also offer a consumption-based model for the validated HPE on-premises infrastructure that is integrated with Anthos to provide a fully managed container orchestration service.
In his blog article on the announcement, Ric Lewis, senior vice president and general manager of HPE’s Software-Defined and Cloud Group, said, “To enable modernization and consistent experience with Anthos, we’re excited to announce HPE Validated Designs for Google Cloud’s Anthos.” He continued, “HPE Validated Designs for Google Cloud’s Anthos represent the initial step in collaboration between Google Cloud and HPE in developing joint hybrid cloud solutions based on the strong enterprise capabilities of HPE, combined with Anthos to simplify how you build, run, and manage services across on-premises and cloud environments.”
