We have several HP Apollo 4200 Gen10 servers, having two drive cages. The primary cage has reached its capacity of the number of drives and we would like to add drives to the empty drive cage 2. Can we add drives in the apollo 4200 gen10 drive cage 2 LFF while the server is powered on or is it best to have it powered off?

SolutionHello,
You need not power off the server to insert drives in empty slots. They should be detected by the smart array controller and you may proceed to utilize it.
