HPE Cloud Volumes Backup: Enterprise cloud data protection for the modern enterprise
Introducing HPE Cloud Volumes Backup, a flexible, enterprise data protection service that allows you to protect and recover data to and from the cloud, without egress or cloud lock-in.
The unexpected events of the first half of 2020 have transformed how businesses operate. Companies have had to adjust their spending practices in order to adapt to an uncertain economy, while still striving to drive innovation in the market.
With “work from home” as the new normal, the need to streamline and simplify core infrastructure services while ensuring remote productivity for employees, has a new focus. In order to meet immediate needs or recover costs enterprises need to be able to reduce manual administrative overhead and move to more agile pay-as-you-go economics that allow them to scale resources dynamically. That is why IDC, in one of their latest Market Notes, predicts “organizations plan to continue investing in cloud technologies, and prioritize those investments over other areas.”
With HPE Cloud Volumes, our customers have a suite of cloud enterprise data services that facilitate their move to hybrid or cloud first strategies. We are pleased to announce that we have expanded these data services with our latest offering, HPE Cloud Volumes Backup.
HPE Cloud Volumes Backup: Data protection for the modern enterprise

Built to address existing challenges with traditional data protection
Businesses need to have their data protected, with guaranteed recovery. But traditional data protection can become a abyss of manual administration, and an expensive deployment with uncertain scale. By using HPE Cloud Volumes Backup, companies can immediately leverage a scale-on-demand, offsite, and secure backup service with pay as you go economics. In addition, modern data protection needs to be more than an insurance policy, as data sets can be leveraged for development, analytics, and other workflows that drive innovation. With HPE Cloud Volumes Backup, companies gain the ability to shift the use of data protection from insurance to innovation and insight.
