HPE shows how to get bigger benefits on a smaller budget at Microsoft Ignite
Ignite is back! Is it bigger (and better) than ever? In many ways, yes! For the HPE team, itโs our BIG annual Microsoft show. This yearโs theme is: Do More with Less. Microsoft is definitely doing just that with a more focused physical event footprint and maybe the biggest online impact ever. Hereโs how HPE is joining in โ and we invite you to join in too.
-By Mike Harding, HPE Storage
Microsoft Ignite takes place October 12-to-14 in Seattle, and it continues to be the annual flagship event for Microsoft tech decision makers, IT implementers, and developers. Ignite brings together learning, training, networking, and socializing for the entire Microsoft customer and partner ecosystem.
Itโs where partners like HPE typically demonstrate our newest solutions and speak to our latest accomplishments and innovations. And this year, whether itโs physical or virtual, HPE is a sponsor and will still be sharing whatโs new for our leading infrastructure solutions for Microsoft enterprise products. Go to the HPE Sponsor page and register for either the physical or free virtual event.
Whatโs happening with HPE Storage at Microsoft Ignite?
Doing more with less speaks to the new approach to modern IT infrastructure. HPE Storage solutions for Microsoft are delivering that and more โ with more agile, safer, and better ways to run your Microsoft workloads on-prem while still getting the benefit of the cloud. Here are some of the key things weโre talking about this year:

The solution provides pre-sized configurations for a range of enterprise databases and combines infrastructure elements optimized for Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, EDB Postgres and many more. The solution has been updated since originally released, with new bills of materials, inclusion of a new database management automation tool, and more competitive pricing. New solution brief now available online.

Azure Stack HCI on Apollo 4200 Gen 10 Plus โ This is our important hybrid cloud solution thatโs the go-to choice for demanding data-intensive Microsoft Hyper-V workloads. The recently updated high capacity/density platform leads the market in terms of variety of storage media types, configurations, and capacity in a validated 2U Azure Stack HCI solution. The updated configuration guide has details on the latest configurations using the innovative HPE Apollo 4200 Gen 10 Plus system.
Exchange 2019 on Apollo 4000 Gen10 Plus โ This enterprise email solution is trusted by some of the worldโs largest banks, health care providers and government agencies. It delivers cloud economics while maintaining email data control. The solution is now available on the recently updated HPE Apollo 4000 Gen10 Plus systems which complement the existing HPE Gen10 systems, providing an option with more performance for the most demanding data centric requirements. Info on the offering is available in the solution brief as well as the just published Solution Deployment and Best Practices guide.
Windows cloud automation โ Weโre also sharing recent work on our PowerShell Toolkits that can be used to manage HPE Storage systems through the HPE GreenLake for storage console, as well as how to automate system management by using a Redfish/Swordfish REST API and PowerShell. Watch this demo from the product team.
A big bang for the buck โ wherever you are, however you join in
Once a year, Microsoft Ignite gives us the chance to be face-to-face with key customers, reseller partners, Microsoft team members, and even our own HPE team members. But you donโt need to travel to Seattle to be a part of the event. There are also additional spotlight events around the world in Germany, France, Latin America, and China, to name a few places. Or you can just join online for free! Youโll be in good company with as many as 400,000 (!) virtual attendees are expected this year.
