Introducing HPE StoreOnce 3720 and HPE StoreOnce 3760 

Today, we are happy to introduce two new appliances to the HPE StoreOnce portfolio: HPE StoreOnce 3720 and HPE StoreOnce 3760. These appliances can scale from small branch offices and remote offices to medium-sized enterprises and service providers. Built on the HPE Alletra Storage Server 4120 platform, they share the same functionality as the rest of the HPE StoreOnce appliances, including cross-family replication, backup application integration, deduplication, and built-in security features. 

HPE StoreOnce 3720 

HPE StoreOnce 3720 delivers entry-level disk-based backup and recovery that is ideal for smaller remote or branch offices and data centers.  

• This 2U density-optimized backup system offers 18 TB of usable capacity and is scalable up to 72 TB.  

• It provides 68% lower starting usable capacity, making it affordable to deploy for small or remote site requirements.¹ 

HPE StoreOnce 3720

HPE StoreOnce 3760 

HPE StoreOnce 3760 is a density optimized ultra scalable backup appliance designed to protect workloads for small and mid sized organizations.

• The HPE StoreOnce 3760 delivers a scalable 2U solution from 108 TB to 216 TB of usable capacity.  
• It takes 67% less data center space with 29% lower power consumption by using a single chassis design without any drive expansion enclosures.² 

• It is easy to scale at a lower cost as compared to backup appliances with additional drive enclosures. 

• Meet backup windows with speeds of up to 25 TB/hour for protection of up to 100 TB of data in a four-hour window. 

HPE StoreOnce 3760

These new appliances save on data center space and power consumption by using a single chassis design rather than having additional drive expansion enclosures. This simplifies the deployment and operation of larger capacity configurations at a lower cost. The HPE StoreOnce 3720 offers a low-capacity entry option, making it attractive and cost-effective for deployment in small sites.

HPE StoreOnce 3720 and HPE StoreOnce 3760 delivers all the established benefits of the HPE StoreOnce platform that have been appreciated by customers over the years, such as the following:

• Lower risk of data breaches: 

1. Built-in encryption: HPE StoreOnce provides encryption for data both at rest and in flight, preventing unauthorized access to data on disk.  
2. Immutability: Configurable data immutability provides additional protection against malicious or unintended backup data deletion.  
3. Secure erase: Enables users to delete confidential data securely and permanently.  
4. Dual authorization: Requires additional approval before destroying or deleting backups.  
5. Air-gapped protection: Ability to write backups to tape and store backup copies offline, creating true air-gapped protection against cyber threats.  
6. Data integrity: HPE StoreOnce Integrity Plus delivers data integrity throughout the lifecycle.  It includes features that check data at various stages or the backup and recovery process enabling data recovery without any corruption. 

• Reduce backup storage costs: HPE StoreOnce deduplication reduces the disk space required to store backup datasets by 95% without impacting backup performance. Retaining more backup data on disk for longer enables greater backup data accessibility for rapid restore of lost or corrupt files. This reduces impact on business productivity while providing cost savings in disk storage, IT resources, physical space, and power requirements. Enhance performance by deduplicating anywhere: at the application source, at the backup server, or at the target HPE StoreOnce system.

• Integrated ecosystem: HPE StoreOnce is integrated with a rich ecosystem of leading backup independent software vendors (ISVs) and backup applications. Users can start protecting their workloads without changing their existing backup software. The extensive compatibility testing program from Hewlett Packard Enterprise helps establish that HPE StoreOnce systems work with leading operating systems, data protection software, and business applications.

Flexible connectivity options enable fast, easy integration to FC and Ethernet networks. HPE StoreOnce systems can be easily mounted onto industry-standard racks.
