Three storage guys talking storage industry trends
The Adventures of John and Mike is a video blog by John Bennett and Mike Meyer, a couple of HPE Storage guys out of Kentucky. They have a twitter account - @2StorageGuy - and mix fun with their insights on what is going on in storage.
We'd been talking about doing something together. Take two HPE storage guys and throw me in the mix and what do you get? No, not the three stooges (though we definitely were yucking it up!); three HPE storage guys! In this podcast version of their video blog we talked about how we each got started, what are some of the trends in storage, wild cows and a lot more. A fun discussion!
Here's a bit more detail with approximate timing of what we talked about in the podcast:
- 00:00 - 1:00 Introduction
- 1:00 - 3:00 How did Calvin start doing social media
- 3:00 - 13:10 What are the big trends in storage (Big data and analytics, storage class memory, cloud storage, and simplifying infrastructure)
- 13:30 - 14:15 Marvel or DC Comics?
- 14:15 - 16:15 If HPE had a super power, what would it be?
- 16:15 - 20:00 What is it that brought the Adventures of John and Mike together?
- 20:00 - 26:30 Who are John and Mike and what drives them. Other topics included wild cows, and water towers.
- 26:30 - 29:30 Wrap-up

Now I have to get to Kentucky for the Derby!
