I have 1XCS500 connected via FC to Linux and VMware hosts. Do I need to install NCM on the hosts? I was under the impression that NCm was for iSCSI and/or multiple Nimble arrays.

SolutionHi Gabriel,
The Nimble Connection Manager for VMware install comes with two packages: the NCM and the PSP.
The PSP (Path Selection Policy) is used for ALL installs (both FC and iSCSI) and is what you want for use with Fibre Channel installs so that the proper multipathing is used to access the Nimble FC Array.
=< NOS 2.x
NCM is used in iSCSI, not for Fibre Channel Use.
=>NOS 3.x
The NCM (Nimble Connection Manager) is used for multiple array pools and is not currently employed with Fibre Channel as of 2.2.x - 2.3.x but is employed in 3.0.x releases.
Thanks!
Moshe.
