How to connect iscsi server having different subnet compared to nimble subnet.

Need procedure to connect VMWARE / Hyperv iscsi server to Nimble iscsi with different subnet.

Nimble and Servers are in different subnet.

Also there are existing servers with same subnet as nimble currently running and working fine.

This is new POC.

Hi,

Nimble does not block iscsi routing, however it is not a best practice and we would not recommend. Some customers have it but you need to be sure that infrastucture is very reliable. It might introduce latency and performance issues.

Once you configure,  default gateway in array UI> Administration> network , it should work.

The iSCSI protocol is a block storage protocol with specific dependencies on adequate response times, throughput, and latency. The iSCSI protocol does not prohibit the routing of iSCSI traffic, as long as the network infrastructure can provide sufficiently high throughput and low latency.

best way is to create a new ISCSI network for the new servers if you have free NICs on

the Nimble storage
