How to skip dHCI setup on Nimble, how to use Nimble dHCI enabled array outside of the dHCI
Hello.
I have two Nimble arrays with dHCI integration. I would like to use secondary array outside dHCI, as a primary array for Proxmox.
Is it possible to clean - somehow reset to default the secondary array and skip dHCI setup?
Generaly, what should i do to achieve this goal?
Regards, Daniel

Re: How to skip dHCI setup on Nimble, how to use Nimble dHCI enabled array outside of the
Hello @Daniel-Chojecki
Unfortunately, this cannot be done. A dHCI array cannot be converted to non-dHCI. Either it has to be used as a dHCI array, or please work with HPE account team/reseller for alternate options.
BTW, you should be able to use all the features of a standalone array in it. What is the concern here? Are you planning to use it for replication?

Re: Query: How to skip dHCI setup on Nimble, how to use Nimble dHCI enabled array outside
Hi
If you don't erase the array you can use it as non-DHCI array
The DHCI wizard cannot be skipped but support can convert DHCI to a regular array
there is no hardware limitation it is just software.
If your array has support contract you can contact support and ask.
Regards
Give a KUDO if this helps

Re: Query: How to skip dHCI setup on Nimble, how to use Nimble dHCI enabled array outside
At support, we are not allowed to do field conversions unless approved by the management team. We would advise to engage the account team to create an official request. Technically, it is a FRU change we do via ssh/console.
As @giladzzz mentioned, once the array is setup a dHCI, it can be used as non-dHCI.
The whole idea of the stack is to make use of the HPE plugin to handle single-click update for all the components, add and remove servers using the plugin
If you don't wish to use the plugin feature, you may update the array separately and the ESXi hosts, without any issues.
