What's the best practice for moving volumes between arrays?

I'm creating a server in one location, before migrating to a remote site. We have Nimble's in both sites but the vLANs do not stretch between them.

What is the best practice to migrate/move the volumes within one Nimble Array to another Array?

Hi Craig,

Assuming you have replication set up, I would use that functionality to initially seed the volumes with snapshots onto the second site and switch across the ownership using the 'Handover' initiation. Far easier than trying to cluster / move volumes across sites in real time.

Sureley a "Handover" would require VM downtime?

That is correct. After handover of the volume, we will have to add the ACLs of server to which the volumes to be presented a re-scan for the volumes.
