SolutionYou have only set the password for the manager level user, so everyone still has read (operator) access to the switch. But they should not be able to change any settings in the GUI. If you want to limit read-only access, use the 'password operator' command

Re: how to set web login Username and password HP 2920 Switch
A few settings that I included:
May not ALL be related to the Web Login/Username - but mine works :)
ftp server enable
telnet server enable
ip http acl 2000
user-group system
user-group interface
#
local-user username
password simple password
authorization-attribute level 3
service-type telnet
ssh server enable
sftp server enable
user-interface aux 0
user-interface vty 0 1
user-interface vty 2 15
set authentication password simple password
NOW - a question for all YOU good people :)
Where can I find a reference Manual on the Web Interface Screens - I have searched ALL of the HP Support Sites and nowhere have I been able to find a Reference File on what is available for Operating/Managing/Monitoring a Switch through the Web Interface?
