tapecopy of auto-loader
Hello, we installed surestore tape autoloader with ultrium 200GB for backup. we would like to know how can we make copies of 200GB tapes. Please help. Thanks!

Hi there.
Which OS do you use ?
For the easy way you need at least two tape drives ( not mentioned by the type of auto-loader ). If possible, send some more detailed info ( type of autoloader, OS etc ).

Actually we want to make copies within the tape loader, i.e. sequence1 to sequence2. How? Please advise.

This is a function not supported by the library / loader hardware.
You can either make copies from within your backup software. Or there are a few add-on copy utilities. But typically copy operations have to be performed inside the application in order for them to be recognized by the software later-on.
