Backup of Exchange Server 5.5 in Hard Disk

I have an installation of Exchange 5.5 in a Windows 2000 server which is a member of a Domain. My domain controller is a Winnt 4.0 server.
I want to take the backup of the entire Win2000 server through the Backup Wizard of Wind2000 in a Hard Disk.
If I select "Backup everything on my computer" option in the Backup Wizard of the Win2000 server and take a backup in a Hard Disk then can I get the backup of MS Exchange 5.5 also?
Should I take a online backup or I should take a offline backup?
I will be grateful if anybody can answer my questions.
There is no short cut to success

My experience has been, that if you use the built-in backup from MS, that you REALLY need to do an off-line backup to get everything.

A Ghost image would be better.

To do an on-line backup and still get everything, would require a third party solution, usually with a base install plus whatever "plugin" you need (exchange, SQL, Oracle, etc.) to work with the specific application/Server.
