Hi Hai in not sure im understanding your question. When you go into system manager and right click on a store and choose dismount that is kind of the manual way. Are you asking if there is a way to dismount from the command prompt???

No way to do this. Look for it in Exchange 2003. You can do:

net stop msexchangeis

which will bring the Information Store service but and will take down the databses but no command to perform a database dismount.

If you find one, post it here, it would be great to have.

Thanks.

you can run a VBScript similar to the one listed in the follwoing link to dismount a single store or storage group.

look at page 11 of 26 for the script.
