SQL 7.0 with SMS 2.0 => Which MDAC-Version?

Hi
I have an NT 4.0 server running sql 7.0 with sms 2.0. My MDAC Version is 2.5 . I want to install the latest MS-Patch MS04-003. But this requires at least MDAY 2.5 SP 3. Now which MDAC version can I safely install without risking to lose SQL or SMS? Any known issues there?

It looks like that as long as you are not running a cluster with SQL 7 on it, that you can go for the latest version of MDAC:

No known problems found (that I could see) regarding SMS 2.0 with MDAC version.
