Your system uses a motherboard manufactured by Asus. Here is a source for a Crystal audio driver for WINMe from Asus' website.

Go here and select the version of ECDC you're running and download/install any fixes or patches.
The approach to 'no audio in AIM' from this AOL link is pretty basic but worth looking at if you haven't already. (Sorry, but it's impossible to gauge someone's technical level remotely. ;^)
