209-Mirror Memory Configuration

I've adquired a new blade 460c g6 with 8gb RAM (four modules 2gb)
When I booted I have the error 209-Mirror Memory Configuration
The memory configuration is the following

channel 1 slot 1 D CPU1 -> EMPTY
channel 1 slot 2 A CPU1 -> 1 MODULE
channel 2 slot 3 E CPU1 -> EMPTY
channel 2 slot 4 B CPU1 -> 1 MODULE
channel 3 slot 5 f CPU1 -> EMPTY
channel 3 slot 6 C CPU1 -> 1 MODULE

channel 1 slot 1 D CPU2 -> EMPTY
channel 1 slot 2 A CPU2 -> 1 MODULE
channel 2 slot 3 E CPU2 -> EMPTY
channel 2 slot 4 B CPU2 -> EMPTY
channel 3 slot 5 f CPU2 -> EMPTY
channel 3 slot 6 C CPU2 -> EMPTY

IS THAT CORRECT?
thanks

Do you have two CPUs?
Don't you want to have the same amount of RAM on both?

So that the one you have in
channel 3 slot 6 C CPU1 -> 1 MODULE
should be in
channel 2 slot 4 B CPU2 -> EMPTY

Re: 209-Mirror Memory Configuration

Yes, the server have 2 CPU, yes I've already tested that configuration but the result is that the operative system only viewed 4gb RAM.
I have installed vmware esx 4.0
I need that OS can recognize total memory!!

Re: 209-Mirror Memory Configuration

You need to balance the memory between the 2 processors (move from proc 1 c3s6C to proc 2 c2s4B) and then after boot change the memory setting so it isn't trying to mirror. Just like in RAID 1 arrays, mirroring uses 50% of the memory for redundancy. You also need to balance memory between the 2 processors, especially with VMware so that you don't introduce latency.

Re: 209-Mirror Memory Configuration

I don't understand the behavior. So I have only available 4gb RAM because the memory are in raid 1 configuration??
Can you confirm that?

I don't know why was confugered so!!!
The default is Advanced ECC memory configuration!!!
