Adding 2 new VC-Eth modules to existing production C7000 Enclosure
I need to add new 2 VC-Eth modules to existing C7000 enclosure with existing VC domain configured. Current config: Redundant OAs, VC-Eth modules in Bays 1,2, VC-FC modules in Bays 5,6. All latest FW levels.
New VC-Eth modules will be installed in Bays 3,4. What is the recommended procedure to avoid any outage to existing servers in enclosure?
My current plan is:
1. Backup VC domain configuration
2. Install VC-Eth module in Bay 3
3. Install VC-Eth module in Bay 4
4. Connect stacking cable between VC modules in Bay 1 and Bay 3
5. Connect stacking cable between VC modules in Bay 2 and Bay 4
6. Verify EBIPA addresses were assigned for new modules
7. Configure unique HP predefined MAC address ranges for new modules
8. Connect uplink cables to new VC modules and define new networks as necessary.
Is this the correct way? Existing production servers need to be fully operational during process. Thanks.

There no extra NICs installed in blades so far.
