bl460c g5 hba2462 4gb
When I booted the blade I login to hba managment utility(control Q)
I do an scan and selected hba port 1, then I see only available the following lun id configuration.
Lun id 0 to lun id 7 supported
Lun id 8 to 14 not supported
Lun id 15 supported
Lun id 16 to 255 not supported
What does it mean?
I can use only 9 luns????
Thanks,
Eduardo

Re: bl460c g5 hba2462 4gb
Do you event want to boot from SAN? Or what are you trying to establish?
Checked the firmware?
Maybe there is some specific documentation available for this card. But it seems like a pretty severe limitation i that's the case. Also LUN0 for some arrays (like the EVA) is used for management and you cannot assign a data lun to that id.

Re: bl460c g5 hba2462 4gb
The HBA is used on esx blade installation to have different datastores (luns).
In total I have only 8 luns available.
Lun 1 to Lun 7 and Lun 15
Thanks

Re: bl460c g5 hba2462 4gb
I doubt this applies, probably if you take one of your other blades then and boot into the FC HBA BIOS utility then you'll see the same.

The enclosure is a c7000.
I don't know how I do to hba support more luns, what configurations must I check?

Re: bl460c g5 hba2462 4gb
Have you tried adding some more (small, test) LUNs and presenting them to the other ESX server as 8 or 9 to see whether it sees them?
