BL460c G7 + P410i performance

Hi,

I've tried searching for some sort of performance figures for the integrated P410i controller for some time but can't seem to find any - Does anybody know a good source for that?

More so I would be even more interested to hear some real life write/read speeds when using this controller.

I was thinking on using two 300GB SAS 10K rpm disks in the server with RAID1 configuration. Additionally I was going to get either 512 or 1024MB FBWC module for additional performance.

Any clues what kind of performance I should expect from this setup?

Re: BL460c G7 + P410i performance

Hi,

I know it's not much of help, but here are the quickspecs for the controller:

Also note that the performance of the I/O system depends also on the type of disks used.

Some info about performance is included in the doc

HP Smart Array controller technology

You can't expect any big performance from two HDDs. You can consider to add a storage partner blade D2200sb, which can hold up to 12 SFF HDDs.
