BL460c on C7000 enclosure

Specifications:

Windows 2003 R2 Standard Server SP2
HP NC373i Multifunction Gigabit Server Adapter
Driver Version HP 3.4.10.0
HP Network Configuration Utility
Version 8.80.0.12

Issue:

Speed/Duplex Setting is greyed out to AUTO/AUTO
I need it set to 100/FULL because our switch is Cisco Fast Ethernet and the server is unable to sense 100MB, the network state is down.
To be or not to be, that is the question.

Note: If I test connect the NIC to a 1000MB switch it works.

Re: BL460c on C7000 enclosure

Unfortunately we need to connect it to our 100MB switch, how can we get the NIC to use 100MB?

What kind of LAN interconnect module are you using?

The connection between the blade and the interconnect module is always gigabit (according to the manual, the wiring is actually equivalent to a _fibre_ gigabit interface).

If you're using blade switch interconnect modules, change the settings of the interconnect module: that's where the state of the external connection is managed.

If you're using an ethernet Pass-Thru module, then I must tell you those things are gigabit _only_. They cannot fall back to 100Mb speed.

See question 5:

See also the specifications:

"Full duplex 1Gb per port (no auto-negotiation)".

Re: BL460c on C7000 enclosure

Hi,
I have the same question about adjust NIC speed.
Does OA make NIC speed unmodifiable ?
If I config CISCO 3020 or GbE2 downlink port speed to 100/full , what will happen next ?
Regards.
