Each blade has 2 dual-core CPUs. Can we move one dual-core CPU from one blade and add to the other blade? I haven't opened blades yet since they are up running but want to get some input from you first.

SolutionI would not do this myself.
I would engage HP hardware service for this. The blades are small and delicate and its possible the CPU's need to be paired.

Not really, at least this model ;-)
However, ask HP is a good suggestion, but there isn't a real problem to move the CPU.
Just make sure they are identical!

Here's a link to the Bl870c Support Manual, check the Removing and Replacing Components section. There's slide bar that has to moved to gain access to the ZIF socket lock, pgs 22-25.
