I wish to update a complete Bladesystem infrastructure which include: BL460c's, Onboard Administrator, Virtual Connect Modules and the like.
I want to know, if there are any best practices to follow for the upgrade of bladesystem FW, for example, is there a component to start with first?
Any tool to help in this also?
Thanks

Re: Bladesystem Firmware UPDATE / OA-VC
2. Then update iLO firmware on each blade
3. Update OA modules
4. Last, update VC modules. Verify in the VCM Firmware Maintenance screen that all modules did get updated. The VC-Enet fw rev is different from the VC-FC rev.
Backup both the OA configuration (from Enclosure Settings - Configuration Scripts -Click here to view Inventory) and the VC configuration from VCM Backup/Restore

Re: Bladesystem Firmware UPDATE / OA-VC
HP Support staff (Jim) Advises that you must update the VC firmware first.
also it has been advised by HP Support to not update over WAN.
