I know its old and OoW. ITs a c3000 chassis with blades in chassis slots 1-4 and 8. The ports 1 and 2 of the passthrough module are mapped to all blade slots ( I think that is correct teminalogy). Port 2 of the passthrough goes to a MSA2050 fiber port. Now to my understanding all blades in that chassis with mez fiber cards should see the lun when its mapped from the array. HOWEVER, Slot 8 blade cannot see the LUN.
So I plugged a second fiber cable into the array and into the passthrough port 8, and the blade sees the mapped lun. remove the cable, and voila, gone. The OS on the blade is linux. I need to add another blade to the chassis to share the same lun, BUT, no more ports on the ARRAY (only a 2 port 2 controller setup) to add another cable directly.
I am not sure how to even begin troubleshooting the port mapping not being seen by all blade slots.

SolutionHi Matthew,
In Pass thru, the ports works as one to one model from port to the server bay.
If you need to connect more servers to a LUN, you must install an interface, such as a switch, so that a port from the storage device and all pass through ports can connect to the switch and obtain the LUN.
Help me to understand. Model of the Pass thru module and in which interconnect bay it has been inserted ?
Regards,
Shiva_JR

Hi @Matthew Murdock .
How did you solve the problem?
What connections and modules did you use?
Could you draw a diagram?
