C7000 Firmware Update for VC Modules

Good day

We have a scenario at a client where we need to update the VC modules.

Currently the firmware versions are as follows.

OA = 4.97 (current and all good as on latest already)

VC Flex-10/10D Module = 4.75 (current but not on latest)

VC 8Bb 24-Port FC Module = 4.15 (current but not on latest)

For the VC 8Bb 24-Port FC Module we first need to go to intermediate version 4.50 as per upgrade path and then we will go to version 4.85 for all 4 modules.

But now the problem is when running the virtual connect support utility it doesn't give us the option to only upgrade the VC 8Bb 24-Port FC Modules only and it wants to downgrade the VC Flex-10/10D Modules which is not what we want.

Is there an option to specify only the VC 8Bb 24-Port FC Modules for the intermediate upgrade to version 4.50?

This needs to be done online.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Hello,

Upon reviewing the Intallation instructions. The 4.75 version of HPE Virtual Connect holds FW version 4.15 for HPE VC 8Gb 24-Port FC.
The 4.85 version of HPE Virtual Connect holds FW version 4.20 for  HPE VC 8Gb 24-Port FC. You need not to downgrade the firmware of the interconnect modules. 

Download the FW version 4.85 and initiate an update that will update the FW versions to latest.
