C7000 power mangement issue with BL465cG1

I have a BL465c G1 server that must have the bad power manager code as the chassis fans go to 74% and power use to 345w, but the blade will not boot for me to flash the new code.
ILO2 is version 1.8
OA is 2.6

My other blades are all OK. Any suggestions how to proceed?

Cheers
Mike

SSH to OA IP
reset server [BL465 bay number]
yes

then update firmwares.

Re: C7000 power mangement issue with BL465cG1

here we go...

first reboot command to the oA from cli, or just pull it out for 30 seconds all fans wll speed up thats normal but when it is reinserted it will go back to normal
as it has just done a new discovery and can m,anage all blades optimally now..
next if issue persists

clear nv ram

Clearing the system configuration
To clear the system configuration:
1. Power down the server blade
2. Remove the server blade
3. Remove the access panellook at the diagram on it it will show the position of the maintenace switch( it clears Nv ram)
4. Change position 6 of the system maintenance switch to on.
5. Install the access panel
6. Install the server blade in the enclosure and power up the server blade.
7. Wait for the POST message that prompts you to change the switch setting:
Maintenance switch detected in the "On" position.
Power off the server and turn switch to the "Off" position.
8. Repeat steps 1 through 3.
9. Change position 6 of the system maintenance switch to off.
10. Repeat steps 5 through 7.

If blade will still not boot hold power button in circa 25 seconds then refer to advisory below

Re: C7000 power mangement issue with BL465cG1

OK, I opened up the server and even though the ILO showed 2 * 1GB sticks installed, there was actually no memory in the blade!!!

I put 2GB in and flashed the controller, BIOS, Network and RAID to the latest versions.

Thanks for the help.
